Anna Bowers
Anna Bowers is a Maryland native that enjoys the restoration, healing and growth that is earned through practicing yoga and is excited to bring these benefits to her community.
Anna has been practicing yoga for 15+ years and was initially drawn to the physical benefits of yoga to help her heal from a lower back injury and to reduce stress. Anna’s first yoga experience taught her to relax, slow down, breathe, and stop competing. She learned to let go, calm her mind, and embrace her breath, while elongating her body and building strength.
In 2022, Anna completed Yoga Teacher Training taught by the Yoga Alliance RYS Yoga Centric becoming a 200 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher. She has expanded her knowledge and experience through additional training in yin and restorative Yoga. She completed the AAS program at AACC. Jeanne has since used continuing education classes to add to her expertise. Jeanne heavily focuses on rehabilitation, sports massage, myofascial work, cupping and gua sha techniques, deep tissue and stretching techniques. She has also gotten certification in migraine and tension headache relief, prenatal and postnatal massage, and thai yoga massage. The focus of Jeanne's massage is not to just get clients back in "working order" but to help them achieve goals, restore and better function, and to relieve pain and tension.
Jeanne has spent well over a decade developing her style, flow and techniques to best help her clients. A self-professed anatomy nerd, she enjoys focusing on specific problems, but also seeing the muscles as chains that support and work together, as well as seeing the body as a whole.
